Waste Collection Schedules in Oakville, Ontario

Waste and garbage is collected on Tuesday and Friday in Oakville. Garbage is normally collected bi-weekly, with green bin and recycling being collected every week.

Fridge & freezer recycling:

To book your appointment for free pick up of your old fridge or freezer, call the Ontario Power Authority at 1-877-797-9473.

To qualify, fridges and freezers must be at least 15 years old, 10 cubic feet or larger, and plugged in and working at the time of pick up. Appliances not in working condition are not eligible for pick up.

You can also request that a window air conditioner or portable dehumidifier is collected at the same time as your fridge or freezer pick up. These secondary appliances must be 10 years old or older, and in working condition.
