Entertainment Central to Open Its Doors in Oakville Next Week

Toronto, ON – Wendel Clark, former Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs, makes his mark in the history books again. From scoring goals to writing a book on his hockey life to building “The Wendel Burger” – the town of Oakville welcomes Wendel Clark’s Classic Grill and Sports Lounge. Now an even larger location with over 15,000 sq. ft., housing four distinct venues Entertainment Central has something for everyone at the Grand Opening on February 1. Located at 370 Dundas Street East (Dundas St. and Trafalgar) - Entertainment Central is Oakville’s newest hotspot for fine dining, comedy, dancing, meeting and mingling all under one roof and parking is ALWAYS FREE. Wendel Clark’s Classic Grill and Sports Lounge is an upscale sports restaurant and lounge with gourmet food items and great service. It is “more than just wings and beer” and cleverly combines the comfortable and warm atmosphere of a lounge, with the upbeat energy of a sports bar. The design of the space includes state of the art HD 70 inch LED TV’s throughout the space. The menu has been created by Executive Chef David Copperwaithe, an Oakville resident, specifically to appeal to health conscious sports fans, families, and those with a cultivated palette. Wendel Clark himself has been involved in all facets of the business along with owners Sam D’Uva and Piero Suppa of Dynamic Hospitality Entertainment Group.

“Hockey and eating great food have always been two of my favourite sports!” says Wendel Clark. Wendel Clark’s Classic Grill and Sports Lounge will feature several signature items such as the Vaughan location favourite, The Wendel. This HUGE burger is a half pound 100% ground-chuck beef burger piled high with lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles, double smoked bacon, Canadian cheddar cheese and beef steak onion rings. Just try and get your mouth around that (few people can!) The Deconstructed Caesar Salad is another house favourite that is as beautiful as it is delicious. New items specifically created for the Oakville location includes soon-to-be classics, Korean style Kalbi Beef Short Ribs and a Roasted Whole Rack of Lamb. Wendel’s is casually upscale featuring a state-of-the-art audio system and 70” high def, plasma tv’s to capture the game the way it was meant to be seen. The Oakville location special nights include: Thursday Ladies Nights with $2.50 Martinis and Tuesday Night $11.95 Steaks.
