Human Case of West Nile Virus in Halton

The Halton Region Health Department has received a preliminary report from
the Ontario Public Health Toronto laboratory that the death last week of a
Burlington female in her seventies was associated with West Nile virus (WNV)
infection. Confirmatory testing is underway.
