Had a great time for the grand opening. Looking forward to going back again.

Had a great meal at Wendel's followed by Yuk Yuks show. It's nice to finally have something like this in Oakville instead of having to go downtown.

My daughter worked at Wendel Clark's as a below minimum wage(no tip sharing allowed) server-in-training for 26 hours this summer and has NEVER been paid for this...it is now autumn. She has made several attempts at resolving this only to be told they lost her cheque and she will have to pay $45 to get it reissued! Unbelievable! Is this the policy of our Sport's hero? BTW...have you eaten at the place? over-priced and lame...just like the Maple Leafs!

My friends and I decided to try somewhere new for watching a leaf's game and figured Wendel Clark's would be the perfect place for such an activity. Sadly, I think we were the only ones. The dining room was empty expect for us and a family who left before the game started. There were a few people at the bar which is maybe where we should have been seated. Considering we were the only table occupied in the dining room it was very difficult to get the attention of the three servers working...even while they were at the wait station right behind our booth. The food was good but I would have been able to give it an outstanding review had my $16 fish chips order been served with some salt, vinegar and ketchup but instead I had to wait almost ten minutes to ask the waitress who disappeared after delivering our food. As I stated before, the other servers ignored us. Portion size-massive and the idea of the fish being breaded with salt n' vinegar chips-genius. It's just too bad that it was a bit cold by the time I got to begin eating it. I guess we were under the impression this was more of a sports bar than it actually was...the bar area was the only part that had anything memorabilia related, which we found odd. The beer selection was very small, again not very sports bar like. It's possible our assumptions got us in trouble and caused some disappointment but a large part was the result of the poor service. Would we go back for a hockey game...highly unlikely. The menu was interesting and I'd like to try some of the other dishes but the possibility of poor service again scares me off.

Went to the grand opening and went back since to give it another try but won't be returning. Agree with the other comments about service.

My Husband and I go here all the time! The first time we went Wendel was actually in the building. We ate great food and watched hockey. Amazing restaurant.
