As residents of Oakville, we’re lucky to have a great town Council and a great Mayor like Rob Burton.
It’s no wonder the Town of Oakville is such a Livable place!
Here’s why
For visitors who follow us on Twitter, you might have seen us tweet yesterday about the street re-paving and grey dust coating cars, houses and yards in some parts of Oakville.
The road crews have been at it for about week now peeling up the street, grating, laying gravel and moving gravel around. But the dust from traffic traveling up and down the road has made some streets look like a scene from a sci-fi movie.
The work is expected to take up to three weeks.
What happened
After we twittered the Mayor yesterday and asked him about the dust problem, he responded back to us and said that he’d look into it.
And lo and behold – less than 24 hours later – water trucks are out on the streets taking care of the dust problem.
Thank you Mayor Burton! Thank you for making Oakville such a great town to live in.
