Canada has done amazing over the years to help fight cancer. They do bike events, dragon boat events and also Triathlons.
For everyone who doesn’t know what a triathlon is, it involves a 750m swim, 20km bike and then a 5km run. For most people this is hard but think of trying to get it done with cancer?
Princess Margaret Foundation has teamed up with Joe Finley, who’s life goal was to compete in a triathlon and he did in August 2006. With the help of the community, sponsors and PFM the “innovative fundraising initiative”, in 3 short years, has raised over 2.1 million dollars!
After talking with Princess Margaret Foundation I was excited to be part of this growing success to cure cancer. Being a Professional Triathlete I am excited to give my expertise to others and help raise money for something I so strongly believe in. My goal is $500, but I know we can do so much more!
I will be at the start line cheering everyone on and maybe even jump in the water and race with everyone. It will be a great event and the more we raise the better!

If you would like to donate go to www.joesteam.ca and type in Tyler Lord. Also if you would like to participate you can register online!
See everyone at the start line!
