Doctor Karen Smith, her Associate, Doctor Melissa Oliver, and their friendly staff welcome you to their expanded office space in beautiful Bronte Village, West Oakville.
Bronte Village Eye Care is a fully licensed and equipped optometry practice offering full and comprehensive eye care services to all of their patients. According to Dr. Smith, “good eye care begins with a yearly eye exam. Although many do not realize it, the best way to protect your vision is with a yearly eye check-up.”
“Even a basic eye exam can instantly detect such health-threatening conditions as tumors, vascular irregularities and diabetes-related injury to the retina,” says Dr. Smith. “At Bronte Village Eye Care, the basic check-up is brief and painless.” From eyeglasses and contact lenses to diagnosing and co-managing glaucoma or macular degeneration, Doctors Karen Smith and Melissa Oliver are there to help you. The Bronte Village Eye Care Vision is “to provide the highest quality of Vision and Eye Health Care possible and to meet the individual Eye Care needs professionally and with sensitivity using up-to-date knowledge, equipment and products.”
Conveniently located at 2425 Marine Drive in Bronte Village, Oakville, Bronte Village Eye Care has expanded their office. The office was opened five years ago and with the exciting addition of Dr Oliver, and an ever increasing clientele, more space was required to house the state-of-art equipment, spacious examining rooms and the opportunity to grow. Bright and inviting, the space is immaculately designed with the Bronte Harbour theme and now includes two new examination rooms, a new lab, a contact lens area and a sunglasses boutique. They also provide a wide selection of eye glasses for both adults and children.
Dr. Karen Smith graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1982 with her Doctor of Optometry degree and has been involved on many levels ever since. In 1992 she opened her first office in North Oakville. Busy and successful, she moved her office, Bronte Village Eye Care, to Bronte Village in the summer of 2008. Because Dr. Smith has very personal relationships with her clients, they moved also and continue to send friends and family to her. Word of mouth is her drawing card and her business continues to expand.
Bronte Village Eye Care grew and almost two years ago, Dr. Smith invited Dr. Melissa Oliver to join her team. Dr. Oliver began her career in the United States and then attended University of Western, graduating with a Masters degree in Sports Medicine. When she decided that optometry was her passion, she attended and graduated from University of Waterloo with Dean’s List recognition. Together, Dr. Smith and Dr. Oliver make an exciting team – along with their well-trained, helpful staff.
