Oakville Hydro Corporation (“Oakville Hydro”) is seeking applicants with experience in Energy Services, Customer Care and Law to fill two Board of Director vacancies.
The intention is to renew and extend the diversity and expertise of the Board and its Committees. Preference will be given to Oakville residents with relevant experience, knowledge and skills.
Over the last few years the Board has guided Oakville Hydro to great success in its energy and telecommunications businesses, as well as implemented best practice governance.
“The Oakville Hydro Board is committed to providing the best energy and conservation solutions,” said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. “The recruitment process represents an opportunity for business leaders to step up and offer their expertise to help guide Oakville Hydro’s long term strategic planning and management.”
Being a Board member is a challenging part time position involving attendance at approximately four half day board meetings annually and serving on one of the board committees which meet four times a year for up to a half day per meeting. A modest retainer and attendance fee is paid.
