McGuinty government reconsidering Oakville power plant

Sources tell CTV News the McGuinty government “has been listening carefully to local residents’ concerns” and is reconsidering plans to build a giant gas-fired electrical plant in Oakville.

A surprise news conference has been called for 1pm in Oakville where a change of plans is expected to be announced. It is not clear whether McGuinty plans to delay construction, cancel the project or move the plant.
