On July 15, Mayor Rob Burton will be hosting the second annual Mayor’s Invitational Tournament in support of two deserving Oakville charities – Community Living Oakville and Kerr Street Ministries. This is an exciting day of softball, where the focus is on fun, friendship and community spirit.
“Last year’s tournament attracted 12 teams and over 200 players and volunteers and together we raised over $100,000 for Kerr Street Ministries,” said Mayor Rob Burton. “I want to raise even more money this year, and I need your help. Show your support for our community and connect your company with these worthy causes by either entering a team or becoming a tournament sponsor.”
The Mayor’s Invitational Tournament is a day-long softball tournament held at three Oakville parks – Trafalgar, Glenashton and River Oaks. Teams can have a maximum of 15 players and must have at least three female players. The tournament entry fee is $3,800. Your team will play a minimum of three games and be provided with team shirts, team photos, plus complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments.
Another way to participate is through tournament sponsorship. Receive promotional exposure for your business and help raise much needed funds. Opportunities are still available for this year’s event.
