Oakville’s lease market continues to be incredibly hot, with just a little over 4 weeks of inventory and little additional inventory coming onto the market. So here is what you can expect to pay in Oakville for the following types of properties:
| Property Type | Bedrooms | Least Expensive | Most Expensive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apartment | 1 | $1200 | $2000 |
| Apartment | 2 | $1150 | $9500 |
| Townhouse | 2 | $1500 | $4500 |
| Townhouse | 3 | $1600 | $3900 |
| Detached | 2 | $1850 | $2000 |
| Detached | 3 | $1550 | $5000 |
| Detached | 4 | $2200 | $14980 |
| Detached | 5 plus | $3000 | $9500 |
The least expensive 1 bedroom puts you in a 1 bedroom in Kerr Village. The building has not been renovated and is about 40 years of age. The space is basic.
At the other end of the financial spectrum you’ll get a stunning brand new 4 bedroom home with 10 foot ceilings featuring: crown moldings, state of the art appliance, and hardwood through out. You’ll be located steps away from Oakville Trafalgar High School (ranked 10th in Ontario) and Maplegrove Public School. The property will be fully landscaped, and will be just under 1/2 an acre.
As you can see there is really something pretty much for everyone in Oakville.
Oakville rentals for under $1000 per month?
Finally, one question that I’m asked a great deal, are their properties for lease under $1000/month that you can live in and not be scared. The answer is yes. There are a number of high rise apartments which are rented out directly. They are located through out the town, and are easily found by googling Oakville Rentals. There are also a number of basement apartments which can range in quality from awful to gorgeous. Those are best found by using Kijiji or Craigslist.
