Johannes Linstead: Buddha in a Business Suit.
Johannes Linstead, Guitarist, Composer and 2010’s “World Artist Of The Year” is loved in Oakville for his uplifting and diverse compositions on his magical Latin/Spanish guitar. Johannes also has a passion for Yoga and has been practicing this discipline for over ten years.
Johannes is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor and was bestowed the spiritual name of Seva Singh meaning “Lion of Devotional Service” by yoga master Yogi Bhajan who first brought Kundalini Yoga to the West in 1969. He is also a certified Sensory and Reiki healer, has had many years of training in Hung Gar Kung Fu and Qi Gong, and is the founder of Divine Earth, a growing community of spiritually minded people promoting and bringing awareness on matters pertaining to peace, health, spirituality and conscious living.

Adding to Johannes’ versatility, he has also written a book, “Buddha in a Business Suit”! It provides answers and many tips to help executives, managers, business owners and laypeople find balance and harmony between work, life and spirituality.
Johannes Linstead believes that Yoga helps his music and music helps people.
All of his knowledge is combined when Johannes teaches a Yoga class. He believes in enhancing the physical components of the body with the mind and spirit and encouraging his students to live more contemplatively. It starts with each individual and is always a balance; the esoteric philosophy behind Yoga and the meaning of life. Johannes teaches his students to “think out of the box”. Johannes feels that dedicating time every day to go inward has helped him not only to reduce stress, but also to be a more compassionate human being. This is his gift to his students. He also plays his magical guitar for them!
Johannes believes that Yoga is an effective way for people to elevate themselves and promote good health. His classes are held at the CHR Health Centre located in Kerr Village at 74 Rebecca Street, Oakville. Every class incorporates different techniques and movements. You don’t have to bend like a pretzel and as if, by magic, he instinctively knows what the students need and fashions each class to suit what is needed that particular week!

Johannes, the pride and joy of Oakville, is loved by fans worldwide! What a blessing to have him in your hometown. Oakville is a beautiful town, but I was truly surprised during my visit in 2010, that the town had not named a ‘Park’ or a’Street’after Johannes Linstead. It would be wonderful to honor him in this way.

I first met Johannes through his music. He is a most gifted instrumentalist and composer. His Latin guitar music is incredible with pieces that are fiery and energizing, as well as those that are gentle and inspiring. His classical piano album is beautiful, too.
I have also come to know Johannes as a person, and have found him to be a well-spring of inspiration, Love, kindness, and compassion. He has a wisdom beyond his years that he shares through his yoga classes, his book (Buddha in a Business Suit), and his websites (Divine Earth and Sevara).
Johannes is a true Joy, a beautiful person, and an all-around swell guy!
You are lucky, indeed, to have him there in Oakville! We would be honored to have him live here in Montana/Wyoming! 
What more can I add that hasn’t already been said? Johannes is a true inspiration, a multi talented musician and all around “wise” guy. He is gifted beyond gifted and we are so lucky to claim him as an Oakvillian. A treasure indeed- both locally and globally!!!
