Oakville.com: Please tell us about your background.

MPP Chudleigh: My background is agriculture. I have been involved in growing, distributing, marketing and retailing agricultural and food products.

Oakville.com: Can you describe the duties and responsibilities of your Office?

MPP Chudleigh: The duties and responsibilities of an MPP include anything that stems from the administration of government, the making of Ontario law, and the concerns of citizens as applied to government. I sit in the Legislature where new law is debated, as well as on committees of fellow legislators who try to hammer out the nitty-gritty details of often esoteric and complicated applications of potential laws.

Oakville.com: Please tell us about some of the community events that you are involved with.

MPP Chudleigh: I attend a large number of community events each year. Some of them are large, like various fall fairs, farmers’ markets, Remembrance Day ceremonies and cultural exhibitions, and others are much smaller, such as a lunch at a seniors residence.

Oakville.com: What issues are you presently working on that affect the residents of Oakville?

MPP Chudleigh: Currently the local issues I am involved with are the proposed power plant slated for Oakville’s border with Mississauga and of course the delays affecting the new hospital expected to be built at Third Line and Dundas.

Oakville.com: Thank you for your time MPP Chudleigh.
