European Time – Clocks, Watches and Gifts, is one of the treasures you will find when you visit Bronte Harbour Village in Oakville. Ingo Hetzer, proprietor and Certified Watch Maker, is an avid Bronte Village supporter who prides himself in service of the highest quality. His passion is creating hand crafted parts and servicing the fine mechanics of watches and clocks.
Ingo says, “You have to love what you do and I love the mechanics and movements of clocks!”
Located at 87 Bronte Road in Bronte Village, Oakville, just south of Lakeshore Road, customers love Ingo’s store and trust “Ingo’s Workshop” for high level quality and service. His clientele know that if they have an old clock or watch in need of repair or refurbishing, European Time is the place to go. Ingo designs and makes parts, often refurbishing clock movements that are beyond repair elsewhere.
His customers get the professional service they are looking for and know that the work will be done on the premises by the Clock Master, Ingo Hetzer! Originally from Cologne, Germany, it was there Ingo apprenticed and earned his certification as a watchmaker. In 1983 he immigrated to Canada and was employed as a watchmaker for ten years before opening his own shop, European Time in Bronte Village, in 1995. He also involved himself in the Oakville community, volunteering with the 1st Bronte Boy Scouts as a tireless leader for 10 years.
European Time has a large display of clocks and watches selected from major brands such as Bulova, Citizen and Swiss Military watches and Tempo Time Clocks. You will be impressed with the fanciful selection of traditional Cuckoo clocks, handmade in the Black Forest region of Germany. He has also expanded his business to include many unique gift selections, perfect for special occasions and the upcoming Christmas season. If a stylish new watch or quality clock is your desire, European Time will have the perfect timepiece for you.
Ingo is always available for expert consultation, sizing and is proud to service all brands of watches, regardless of where they were purchased. He calls battery replacements while you wait, his “bread and butter”. Often, a new timepiece requires adjustments customized to fit the individual. At European Time, your new watch purchase includes this important service.
According to European Time’s many loyal customers, much of Ingo’s new business comes through word of mouth. Customers say he’s very good at what he does and it is rare to find his level of friendly service, skills and expertise.
Perhaps you have a family heirloom clock displayed in your home that you would love to have ticking and chiming once again. Call Ingo Hetzer at 905-469-0687 or go to www.europeantime.com.
