The Town of Oakville will host the 44th annual Novice Swim Meet on Tuesday, August 26 from 8 a.m. to noon at Brookdale Pool. A “wander through the woods” theme will guide over 200 participants, aged five to 14 and representing seven different town pools, as they compete in a friendly competition for the championship!

“This event is a hit with families and has been entertaining Oakville residents for over four decades,” said Nina de Vaal, director of Recreation and Culture for the Town of Oakville. “We invite you to cheer on your favourite team and enjoy some end-of-summer fun.”

Oakville residents are invited to take advantage of family-friendly games and activities in the surrounding park including an appearance by Buddy the lifeguard dog from the Lifesaving Society. BBQ and refreshments provided by M&M Meats will be available for purchase.

Brookdale Pool is located at 1215 Bridge Road. For more information on Town of Oakville pools, visit oakville.ca.
