April 19: 10am-12:45pm: Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny: Kids from 0-6 years old have a chance to do crafts, play, and go for an egg hunt in the YMCA’s Oakville location. Parents have three times to choose from: 10-10:45am, 11-11:45am or 12-12:45pm. Cost is $5/child, and there will be a chance for pictures with the Easter Bunny near the end of the time slots. Register online at: www.ymcaofoakville.org or at their membership services desk. Pre-registration is recommended.

April 20: Happy Easter! Take time to enjoy family, and friends

April 23: 7:30am-9am: Oakville’s Team Up for Terry Fox Breakfast: Featuring a keynote speech from Dr. John Goffin, Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology, Juravinski Cancer Centre at McMaster University. Bachelor of Music Students will be performing “I Am Waiting For A Miracle” the opening number from the musical “Marathon of Hope” the Terry Fox Musical produced by Michael Rubinoff. RSVP by visit the event’s official website. The Breakfast is being held in the Atrium at Oakville Town Hall; 1225 Trafalgar Road.

April 25: 2pm: Clean Sweep. Celebrate Earth Week by getting outside for 20 minutes of clean-up work around your home/neighbourhood/business/ or school. Register through the Town’s website to get complimentary gloves and bags.

April 26: 6:30-10pm: Knights of Columbus Bowling Competition/Fundraiser: Bring your competitive spirit down to the Hopedale Bowl to benefit a good cause. Cost is: $35/adults, and $25/kids under the age of 12. Cost will include 3 games of bowling, dinner, and choice of drink. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams of 16 teams. Proceeds go to the Special Olympics. The evening includes a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.

April 27: 8-10am: Mercedes-Benz 10K: Mercedes-Benz Oakville presents a 10k run/walk sponsored by New Balance of Oakville starting at Appleby College. The route takes participants through downtown Oakville. To learn more, or register head to the run’s official website. Money raised goes to towards the Oakville Hospital Foundation for their move to the new site in December, 2015.
