Whole Foods Market Oakville is looking for children who wish to participate in the 4th Annual Holiday Greeting Card Design Contest. Students from Grade 1 to 8 have an opportunity to design a holiday greeting card and deliver it to Whole Foods Market Oakville located at 301 Cornwall Road, Oakville.
Entries must be in the store or postmarked no later than September 30th 2013, so it is time to bring out the crayons, pencil crayons, markers and paint and hone your creative talents.
The Holiday Season is here at Whole Foods Market Oakville! We all know, however, that every day feels like a holiday when you go into Whole Foods Market Oakville!
If you are a teacher reading this, Whole Foods Market Oakville would like to have every school in Oakville submitting great cards and having fun promoting a great cause. Your school could win $250.
One overall winning design will be used to create a boxed set of twelve cards which will be sold at the store. Net proceeds of the card sales generated between November 1st and December 31st will be donated equally to a local food bank and to the school of the winning student. Whole Foods Market Oakville guarantees an overall minimum donation amount of $500.00 and all entries become property of Whole Foods Market Oakville.
There are four age groups: Grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. In addition to the overall winner, there will be one runner-up from each age group chosen; these children will receive a pizza party for their class. The winners will be notified individually by October 19th, 2013.
Sounds like fun? It is! Take an 8.5 x11 sheet of white paper and on one side, using crayons, pencil crayons, markers and paint – no glue, sparkles or other 3D materials and begin to create the perfect Holiday Card. The design must be your own work with no computer generated drawings, copyright material or stencils. It is an opportunity to let those creative talents flow!
“This contest has taken off in the community as every year our submissions grow and it gets harder to pick a winner” says France Fournier, Community Relations Specialist for Whole Foods Market. “The cards receive a great response from the community, one customer calls the store every year to have her boxed set put aside” says Fournier. The funds generated by the card sales will help two areas Whole Foods Market is passionate about, healthy eating and education.”
For more information, call France Fournier 905-849-8400 #107 at Whole Foods Market Oakville. Even better, join the festivities and bring in your Holiday Card soon!
